Education

The education sector in Brazil is fundamental for social and economic development, being responsible for training professionals, promoting innovation and social inclusion. In 2024, the country allocated R$490 billion to education, representing an increase of 23% compared to 2021, according to data released by the Brazilian Yearbook of Basic Education, according to Agencia Brasil.

Furthermore, the educational technology (edtech) segment in Brazil is expanding rapidly, leading Latin America in the absolute number of startups, with more than 619 registered as of March 2024.

Between 2013 and 2023, the sector attracted significant investment, reaching a peak of US$279.2 million in 2021.
